Jessyka and I have known each other for a long time! We went to church together when we were kids and I have always enjoyed her presence! She is so silly and fun to be around! Her and Stene are so great together! We had such a blast together yesterday in this crazy storm that rolled through – Check out that rainbow!!!
I am so happy for these two in this part of their lives together! Congrats my friend!
Here is their story in Jessyka’s words!
“I coach softball for Billings West High and we made it to state last year. State happened to be in Butte where Stene went to college so he was super excited about it. Stene wanted to come up but worked Thursday night and told me he would head up after work Friday morning. He met me up there mid-morning and was able to watch a few games. Later that day he came and ate dinner with the team and of course the girls embarrassed him because that is what they are good at ???? After dinner he took me his stomping grounds for the 4 years, he attended Tech. He showed me where he lived, where the petroleum building was, where he and his friend did some ridiculous off roading in his old Buick sedan. Stene was able to watch our game the next day against Great Falls High where the girls took third. It was a great day.
After softball was over, he took me to a few more places around town. Then we headed north to Fairfield where his Grandparents live. Grandma had a honey-do list for Stene and they needed help moving cows down to a new pasture. We spent from Friday afternoon until Wednesday afternoon with his Grandparents. I got to experience all of Fairfield and the surrounding areas. I had never been there so it was a fun time seeing new things. After we said our see ya later’s to his Grandparents we headed for home. We decided that we wanted to go the White Sulfur Springs way back to Billings because neither of us had been that way through the mountains. Stene told me that one of his coworkers told him about a water fall that we needed to stop at because it was beautiful. And of course, I couldn’t pass that up. So here we are cruising through the mountains and we blow by the stop. Stene asked me how adventurous I was feeling and I said “well he have all day so lets do it.” Stene and I hiked to the first water fall which was absolutely beautiful. We do what all other couples do and take photos and all the good stuff. There was another water fall above and we decided to hike to that one as well, since we have all day. So again, we get up there and take photos cruise around the forest for a little while then decide to head back to the pickup. On our way down I got in front of Stene, not thinking anything of it I’m talking his ear off. He all of a sudden grabbed my hand and whirled me around. He was kneeling there on one knee. He was fidgeting with the ring trying to get it so he could hand it to me all while asking “Will you marry me”. In my shocked state I don’t even think I let him finish before I yelled, YES. I cried and he hugged me… It was the BEST DAY EVER.”
